Build 0.0.4 :O


Hello everyone, v0.0.4 is completed!


This version finally give you the ability to save and load your game! Before talking about how to use the relative things. I would like to introduce the different data storing type of the locations.

Static Location and Dynamic Location

The differences between these two types of location are how they generate content and storing the data.

For the Static location, such as Home, will only generate relative content once the world is created or first entering that location.

The data in the location will be auto-save in the world file when you leave, so you can store your item in there. (Items dropped on ground will not be saved!)

For the Dynamic Location, like shop street, will re-generate the content inside every time you enter that location. It means that everything you left in that location will be lost.
The location data will not be saved in to the world file.

The reason of these is because i am aware of that the explored locations might be unlikely to be re-explore by player if the loots will not respawn.

Instead of just try to spawn loots frequently, i decided to allow the location itself to be randomize.
This design allows the same location to have different variations on either environment, structure, and possible entity and loots.

There is a new UI added in the New game creation process. Now after you press the New Game button, a panel will pop out and allow you to change some world setting and player setting.

You can also save the setting as a profile so you can easily load and use the previous setting you saved.

When you finished the setting, click the create button in order to start a new world.

While in the game, you can interact with the bed in the bedroom in order to save.

If a tip message (World Saved!) pop out, it means it successfully saved.
*It is suggested to save once you start a new game.

A load button is also added in the main menu, a list of world will be shown to you when you press that button. Press the correspond load button the load that world.


In addition to the save and load system, i added a warning message after clicking the exit button and 7 new items into the game (including 2 tools which can be equipped and deal damage)


If everything going well, v0.0.5 should be released, which will add some more equipment and items like clothing.

- Fixed the broken switch in the room at the left end of 2/F of restaurant

- Fixed some items pass through the table and fall to the floor

- Fixed monster being block by doors (open status) in continuous rooms when chasing the player

But you forgot to change the thumbnail. lol

I think Unity is likely to be forced to revert their announced changes, because I don't think what they are doing is very legal, but the board of directors may be attempting to destroy the company on purpose.

Either way, as long as the people on the board and the CEO aren't straight-up arrested, I think continuing to use Unity is a huge gamble, but porting is hard...

Thanks for the reminder,I forgot about the icon XD

Changing engine would be a tough choice for me. However, i can't really trust the CEO of the Unity.  If he still remain in the Unity, I guess the similar thing will still happen and i don't have other choice.

It would be easier to make the switch now compared to later but the choice is up to you in the end
